Ostriches are fun to photograph, but it's difficult to get close enough without having them taking an aggressive interest in the camera. I found these at a nearby farm.

The Tawatinaw valley is a 30-minute drive from home.
I had a lot of fun taking the following pictures there on an afternoon's drive.

Flower pictures are fun to take, patient subjects,
don't argue about signing a release and only get upset on windy days. :o)

A tiny member of the Chrysanthemum family, about half an inch across, being pollinated.

Rosehips are a vital food source for the small animals and birds in a cold climate.

The Kinnikinik (Arctostaphylus uva-ursi) was used by the aboriginal peoples as an ingredient in pemmican.		Mountain Ash or Rowanberries are also very attractive to many birds as a winter food source.
